Initially, comprehensive analyzes of democracy and electoral rights were presented. Consequently, concepts related to politics and democracy were clarified, as well as themes such as sovereignty, people's power and popular participation. Furthermore, an investigation was carried out on the fundamental aspects of electoral law, particularly addressing its concept, object and sources. Subsequently, aspects of the electoral process in the Brazilian context were outlined, addressing issues such as suffrage and the act of voting.
