To put it in context, a bibliographic reviewwas carried out on the growth of Brazilian demand, industrial automation and some important devices for the automation process. The project aims to make a general improvement in the system operation, making efficiency analysis and automation of the cooling process, looking for ways and methods of reducing consumption. To carry out the study, it was used for the analysis of energy RE6000. The data was collected to evaluate the points where there is misuse and waste of energy from the equipment. To simulate the project, CADeSIMU textit Software was used, implementing open and closed loop control in the different processes, as well as simulations of appropriate drive devices for each situation. The bench prototyping process was carried out at URI-Erechim University with the intent of validating the automation project. The main devices of automation are the frequency inverter and the programmable logic controller, where the logic programming and the speed control of the centrifugal pump are carried out. The process showed a reduction of 35,15 % in energy consumption per month.pt-BREngenharia ElétricaEficiência energéticaTorre de resfriamentoAutomaçãoAutomação e análise de eficiência energética de uma torre de resfriamento em uma planta metalúrgicaTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
