Hospitalization causes fear in children, as they are subject to painful procedures. This strategy has a high therapeutic value, bringing several benefits to the child and contributing to their physical and emotional improvement in view of their hospitalization. COFEN Resolution No. 546/2017, regulates the use of Toys/BT by the nursing staff, in the care of hospitalized children and families. However, it is clear that professionals have difficulties in using this technique. Therefore, the following review question arises: What is the scientific evidence on the practice of nurses in the use of therapeutic play with hospitalized children? Objective: Know the existing scientific evidence on the practices of nurses in the use of therapeutic play with hospitalized children. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review in the health field. The methodological precepts were based on Mendes, Silveira and Galvão (2008). The selection of studies was performed by two reviewers who searched and selected separately and later compared the two selections to define the studies that are part of the review. Once the articles were defined, information pertinent to the objective was extracted, tables and flowcharts were structured, information was evaluated and grouped according to content, discussion with existing literature, limitations identified and recommendations for practice were identified. Results: The analysis of the studies allowed the elaboration of four thematic areas: “Therapeutic Toy Benefits”; “Difficulty of the Nurse in Applying the Therapeutic Toy Technique”; "Importance of BP in Child Care" and "Therapeutic toy in nursing graduation" Conclusion: The Therapeutic Toy brings several benefits for both the child and the health team, however there are difficulties in the application of this technique that could be improved during the nursing graduation.pt-BREnfermagemBrinquedo terapêuticoCriançasHospitalizaçãoUtilização do brinquedo terapêutico por enfermeiros com crianças hospitalizas: uma revisão integrativaUse of the therapeutic toy by nurses with hospitalized children: an integrative reviewTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
