The analysis covers a history of sexual crimes in Brazil, addressing the complexities and challenges faced by the justice system. Evidence production is a central point, with a discussion on the role of the victim's word as valid evidence for conviction and how this relates to the general theory of evidence, evidentiary principles and the burden of proof in criminal proceedings. The work presents a series of case law cases, illustrating situations in which the victim's word resulted in convictions and others in which it was not sufficient to support a favorable decision, allowing for a reflection on the dosage of the victim's credibility in trials. This approach seeks to deepen the understanding of how the assessment of the victim's word is treated in judicial instances, contributing to the debate on the effectiveness and justice in dealing with sexual crimes. To carry out the research, bibliographic and documentary research techniques were used, through consultation in books, jurisprudence and legislation; the inductive approach method and the analytical-descriptive procedure method.pt-BRDireitoPalavra da vítimaCrime sexualÔnus da provaProcesso penalA valoração da palavra da vítima nos crimes sexuais: uma análise da compreensão do Tribunal de Justiça do Rio Grande do Sul sobre os tipos penais dos Arts. 213 e 217-A do Código PenalTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
