In the proposals for conducting care, a discussion is provided based on the gaps observed over time, as well as on the perspectives and ruptures considered for the performance in nursing, mainly, building a foundation for alert movements in the thematic area. The objective of this work was to build an integrative literature review under the question: What is the scientific production about the role of nurses in COVID 19, in the context of Primary Health Care? In this context, this work stands out as an integrative literature review under the methodological scope of Ganong, based on works published in Portuguese from 2020 to 2021. The searches (strategies) were carried out in the Virtual Health Library, observing as Medline, PUBMED, LILACS, BDENF and SCIELO databases and under the filters: language; publication time; kind of study. The descriptors used to carry out the searches were: Nursing; Primary Health Care; COVID-19; Pandemic; Nursing care. Through the strategies, the total number of publications observed of 182 articles. After applying filters, readings of resumes and titles, floating readings and deep readings, the result of this review was 10 articles. The discussion was compiled to build critical arguments from the results obtained. A strategic search was built observing the publications associated with the topic, as described above, and with detailed and in-depth readings, the results obtained from the abstracts of the manuscripts. The main results showed a different role of nursing in PHC during COVID, highlighting telemonitoring; tele nursing; use of mobile devices; interdisciplinary checklist; team work and innovative formats in communication.
