The exponential growth of crime, the increasingly early contact of children and adolescents with crime, raises the question if the State, society, and the family of a minor involved in crime are playing a role in the recovery of this minor. In this way, it sought to assess whether socio-educational measures are being sufficient to keep children and adolescents away from criminality. In this sense, the evolution of rights applicable to children and adolescents was proposed and studied in the first chapter, seeking to explain the main laws that specifically regulate criminal matters involving children and adolescents. In the second chapter, the guiding principles and rights inherent to every child and adolescent were studied, emphasizing the principle of full protection, which is the above-mentioned principle in the Statute of Children and Adolescents. In the third chapter, the socio-educational measures in kind were studied, demonstrating the particularity of each one. Finally, the fourth chapter sought to assess the effectiveness of socio-educational measures and propose alternatives for ineffectiveness. Thus, in order to fulfill what was proposed in this research, the method used was the inductive one, with bibliographic, monographic, doctrinal and legislative research. The survey results indicate that socio-educational measures are being ineffective in their purpose to keep children and adolescents away from criminality.pt-BRDireitoMedida socioeducativaProteção integralA (in) efetividade das medidas socioeducativas para os menores infratoresTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
