Physiotherapy in virtual reality, can be effective in the treatment of elderly people since it uses virtual programs and games to promote stimulation and re-educate the weakened muscles thus as your balance. Based on this, the objective of this study was to verify the effects of an exergame program applied to a group of elderly people in the municipality of Erechim. For the sample of this study was composed by an elderly, female, sedentary, with 65 years of age. The body balance was evaluated, through the Berg and Time up Go scale, the functionality through the Barthel Index and the quality of life through the Wooqol Old. The elderly woman underwent 12 physiotherapy interventions with balance games of the Nintendo Wii equipment, performed twice a week, during two months, to be reevaluated by the same instruments. The results were analyzed by average and standard percentage. The results found were 33.33% improvement in the Berg Scale, 25% in Time Up and Go and 2.52% in Whoqol old.
