It is understood that for an organization to improve its results, it must count on a management that can involve and integrate its team in the process of planning and execution of the activities that are developed, and for that, participatory strategic planning can be considered as an effective tool in strategic people management. This theoretical research is based on the context of school management and participatory strategic planning. The study has a qualitative and descriptive approach. The research method was a case study carried out at a municipal school of early childhood education. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The data were analyzed using the content analysis techniques. The results indicate that the process of participatory strategic planning has brought constant improvements to the organization and its team, bringing autonomy and confidence in the development of its activities and in solving possible problems.
