Philosophers such as Aristotle, Adolfo Sánchez Vázquez, Michael J. Sandel, Max Weber and Peter Drucker highlight ethics asfundamental to human and social conduct. The text differentiates ethics from morals, emphasizing that ethics is a set of norms and values, while morals reflect practices valued by society. The research seeks to analyze the ethical responsibility of military police officers in their continuous work in the Military Brigade, exploring concepts of professional ethics, the structure of the Military Police in Brazil, its historical origins and the impact of recent legislation aimed at improving ethical standards. The paper discusses the ethical challenges faced by military police officers in the face of external and internal pressures, in addition to the growing social demand for transparency and accountability. The study sought to raise awareness about ethics in public security institutions and the importance of ethical conduct to strengthen public trust. Ethical action is essential to respect the rights and guarantees of citizens, ensuring respect and credibility.
