However, organizations need to simplify their processes and reduce costs, that is, they need to be bureaucratized, organized, agile and flexible to be competitive and to remain in the market. In the face of this, new tools or management styles are constantly emerging to improve processes, management, resource management, and so on. Amid so many forms of management comes Empowerment, which consists of a work approach that aims at delegating decision-making power and autonomy, which used to be only managers and administrators, to the employees, taking part in the decision-making process and assisting in the administration organizations. With this, the need arose to verify the peculiarities and the main impacts that the Empowerment tool has in the organizational environment. The purpose of this study is to highlight to the reader the importance of applying the Empowerment tool as a strategic tool in the decision-making process and in the management processes of the organizations' human resources and management. The study also aims to demonstrate the main advantages and disadvantages that the implementation of this form of management brings to the organizational environment. The methodology used in the elaboration of this article was the research and bibliographical review, seeking to carry out a retrospective, descriptive and qualitative study on materials already produced, such as: books, journals, articles, dissertations, theses, electronic media and other materials of note address the subject.
