Biasus, Alessandra ReginaVezaro, Taiane Fátima Hofmann2025-03-182024https://repositorio.uricer.edu.br/handle/35974/770This research addresses the topic of institutional care for children and adolescents and the right to family life, in a way that sought to understand the historical evolution of the rights of children and adolescents, highlighting the importance of institutional care as a protective measure. The right to family life was presented and how it impacts the psychosocial development of children and adolescents, exploring applicable concepts and principles, such as full protection, absolute priority, the best interests of the minor and municipalization. Finally, a jurisprudential analysis was made of the recent decisions of the Courts of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. Thus, in order to fulfill what was proposed in this research, the method used was inductive, through analytical-conceptual, inductive and bibliographic research methods, so that the technique is characterized by bibliographic, documentary and legislative research, including magazine articles and the Internet.
