Taking this into consideration, this work presents the study and development of a residential automation project in the context of the Internet of Things. The project aims to control and monitor the luminaries in a residence, as well as to analyse the gas levels in the environment through an application developed for cell phones. The system has an ESP32 microcontroller as the main component of the system, and the communication with the application uses the internal network of the residence, through Wi-Fi. The programming logic of the device was developed in C programming language. Finally, the results of simulations and tests on experimental benches that validate the methodological procedures and provide the technological basis for the continuation of the work are presented. Furthermore, through this proposal it is possible to control and monitor environments remotely without the need to go to the switch, as well as check the levels of gas in the environment, increasing the comfort and safety of users.pt-BREngenharia ElétricaAutomação residencialInternet das coisasMonitoramento de lumináriasAnálise dos níveis de gasesAutomação residencial no contexto da internet das coisasTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
