The work consists of a theoretical foundation on automation and the devices used in this system. Afterwards, the monitoring of the water coiling system was carried out, to gather data used in the execution of the automation. For the application of automation in this system, a programmable logic controller, textit HMI, textit soft-starters, sensors and transducers were used, all of these devices are compatible and have the ability to communicate in a single system. Then the process variables to be controlled through a system monitoring were defined and a flowchart was developed to be implemented in the CLP TPW04, where the ladder programming logic was created and an interface was created in the textit HMI. Computer simulations and programming were developed in textit software TPW-PCLINK and in textit software textit EasyBuilde Pro. A supervisory system was developed capable of verifying the water pumping system in real time with a history of alarms and temperature and pressure graphs. Finally, a bench was set up with the selected devices to perform the physical simulations of the system and prove its operation. As a general scope, automation proved to be satisfactory, being closer to a real implementation.pt-BREngenharia ElétricaAutomaçãoSistema de bombeamento de águaControlador lógico programávelEstudo e desenvolvimento da automação de um sistema de bombeamento de água quente para uma planta frigoríficaTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
