Humanization at birth arises through public policies that assist and encourage the training of obstetric nurses, who in turn, work to demystify the model centered on medicalization and contribute to women's autonomy during the birth process through good health practices, which must be exposed by the health professional from the beginning of prenatal care. In this way, helping to choose the best route of delivery for the parturient woman. General Objective: The study aims to describe the nurse's duties in labor, delivery and actions in the humanization of birth, based on scientific evidence. Specific Objectives: To describe, through literary research, non-pharmacological methods of pain relief during labor. Describe the main needs of pregnant women during this process. Methodology: The present study involves a qualitative approach, through an integrative literature review. Results: The methods found were hydrorotherapy, breathing techniques, virtual reality, Swiss ball, therapeutic massage and aromatherapy. All of these technologies were beneficial and used during labor. Conclusion: With the results it was possible to identify that non-pharmacological methods help in labor and reduce pain and anxiety in pregnant women.
