In this context, oncofertility emerges as a recent area of study that aims to promote the quality of life and reproductive health of women with breast cancer during and after antineoplastic treatment. The aim of this study is to understand the emotional and quality of life repercussions resulting from treatment for female breast cancer. To this end, a case series analysis was carried out on a sample of 7 women at childbearing age, who were being monitored for breast cancer in a public hospital in the north of Rio Grande do Sul State. The results show that although the participating women were aware of the possibility of post-oncology treatment infertility, none had access to fertility preservation techniques. It is concluded that the difficulty in accessing fertility preservation techniques and the lack of information on the subject may contribute to non-adherence to the method and worsening quality of life.pt-BRMedicinaCâncer de mamaFertilidadeQualidade de vidaNeoplasia de mama: um estudo sobre a oncofertilidadeBreast cancer: a study on oncofertilityTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
