Thus, it is sought that professionals, especially those in leadership positions, are alert to develop skills beyond techniques, behavioral, including emotional intelligence. Given this premise, this study sought to identify the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Leadership through a systematic review through a qualitative methodology with descriptive and exploratory bias. The study followed three stages: conceptual search, compilation and selection. Data were searched in the Scopus, Wiley Online Library of Web Science databases, during the months of May and June 2019, using as keywords the search, leadership, emotional intelligence and Leadership and Emotional Intelligence, considering the publications made. from 2014 to 2018. The results point to a strong association between IE and Leadership, understanding the former as an important skill in acting in team leadership positions.
