In the beginning this relationship was mainly linked to their subsistence and survival, over the years this relationship changed through domestication. Currently, pets are included in the concept of family, and in most homes they are members of the family. However, the greater the number of animals in contemporary coexistence, the greater the number of abandoned animals, which causes suffering, a cycle of problems that affect public health and mobility insecurity, causing urban accidents. Studies show that in Brazil there are about 30 million abandoned animals and this number reaffirms the need for spaces for animal care. In this way, the objective is to elaborate a draft of an Animal Health Unit in the city of Erechim, destined to the care of small animals - dogs and cats, which serves as a basic health care tool, providing opportunities to care for family animals low-income, in situations of abandonment and abuse, effectively contributing to the prevention of diseases, making effective population control and recovering the animal until its future adoption. The methods used to prepare this work are based on bibliographic research, pertinent legislation and case studies.pt-BRArquitetura e UrbanismoAnimais de estimaçãoAdoção de animaisAbandono de animaisUnidade de saúde animal na cidade de Erechim-RSTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
