When analyzing the context in which we currently live, the creation of the internet and a social network platform changed our interpretations about heritage, considering the existence of digital materials, as well as the creation of social networks changed the coexistence in the community and opened the borders of physical distance, hyperconnecting the whole world with access to communication platforms via the internet. In this way, the purpose of bringing up the discussion about the transmissibility of goods contained in digital media and social platforms is increasingly necessary, given that we are inserted in a world that is increasingly dependent on technologies and that is constantly changing. evolution. Also, when carrying out the study, it was possible to perceive that this matter still lacks relevant legislation and that encompasses its most important characteristics. It was found, during the course of the research, that social networking platforms that hold a large number of digital assets have been trying to adapt to the matter, creating resources that allow the autonomy of private will of the holder of digital assets, so there is the perfectization of a new form of disposition of will, called digital testament. Furthermore, several Bills of Law are being created and have been discussing the matter, mostly with the aim of modifying articles of the Civil Code expressly mentioning the possibility of digital inheritance. The methodology used in this research was the inductive method, from the perspective of the descriptive analytical approach. As for the technical procedures, it is in the bibliographic category, since extracts from scientific articles, online research and literary works relevant to the study were used, in addition to legislation and the analysis of Bills.pt-BRDireitoHerança digitalPatrimônio digitalRedes sociaisHerança digital: a sucessão do patrimônio virtual na legislação brasileiraTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
