Through a comprehensive literature review, the evolution of social media was explored, from its origins to its predominant role in everyday life. Were analysed how digital marketing strategies use advanced technologies to influence consumer purchasing decisions and the ethical and legal challenges associated, particularly related to privacy and protection of personal data.
