This study aimed to analyze the challenges faced by nurses in caring for patients with AMI in emergency services, using an integrative literature review as a research method. The qualitative approach was based on the integrative review model proposed by Mendes, Silveira and Galvão (2008), allowing the identification, analysis and synthesis of relevant studies on the subject. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, five studies were selected to serve as the basis for the analysis. The information was organized by content similarity, resulting in the categorization of three central themes: the role of nurses in AMI care, advances and care strategies, and difficulties faced in the care flow. The results highlighted the relevance of protocols, such as risk classification and reception, as well as the positive impact of incorporating technologies that streamline diagnosis and clinical decision-making. However, significant challenges were identified, such as infrastructure limitations, insufficient human resources, and failures in communication processes, which can compromise the efficiency and quality of care. It is concluded that ongoing education of professionals and the adoption of innovative technologies are essential to improve AMI care, promoting ethical, safe, and evidence-based care. It is expected that this study will contribute to critical reflections and inspire new practices in the field of nursing, strengthening professional performance in the face of the challenges of the care context.pt-BREnfermagemInfarto agudo do miocárdioAssistência do enfermeiroO papel do enfermeiro no manejo do infarto agudo do miocárdio: uma revisão integrativaTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
