Due to social isolation, the lifestyle of the population in general changed, mainly impacting elderly people and people with chronic diseases, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), who were encouraged to maintain the practice of physical exercise as a way of adjunctive treatment to medication. The reduction in the practice of physical activities during the COVID-19 pandemic may contribute to the increase in psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression leading to an increase in respiratory symptoms, triggering periods of exacerbation, compromising functional capacity, in addition to the risk of hospitalization. This research sought to verify the health and lifestyle of individuals with COPD during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a descriptive, qualitative and quantitative research, applied through a structured, self-administered online questionnaire, created by the researchers. The population was composed of people of both sexes, with self-reported COPD diagnosis, participating in groups on the Facebook® social network. The sample consisted of 102 online questionnaires. Regarding the sociodemographic profile of the respondents, most were female, with a mean age of 58 years, with a severe COPD classification, between the 1st and 5th year of diagnosis, living in Southeast Brazil. As a conclusion, damage was observed in the physical and social profile of individuals with COPD during the COVID-19 pandemic.pt-BRFisioterapiaCOVID-19Doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica.
