Succession law consists of the set of rules that regulate the transmission of assets, after the death of their owner, to the due successors, which may occur by testamentary disposition or by virtue of law. However, our legal system provided for some cases in which the heirs were restricted from exercising their inheritance rights. Thus, initially, an initial conceptualization will be made about the Inheritance Law and its origins. Then, the explanation about the hypotheses of exclusion of succession currently provided for in the Civil Code, bringing its concepts, hypotheses and effects. Subsequently, an analysis will be made about Indignity, its effects and everything that encompasses the theme. In addition, examples of real cases that reflect the theme discussed in this work will be demonstrated.
