Lago, Rogério Marcos DalScheffer, Víctor André2021-02-242021-02-242020http://repositorio.uricer.edu.br/handle/35974/294Bearing in mind that part of the industries production profit is reduced by the production of industrial waste and the need for proper disposal, the present work investigates the possibility of recovering the active principles present in an industrial waste for their reinsertion in the production process. The research was based on the assumption that part of the sulfur and calcium used in the production of the sulfocálcica syrup would be present in the residual sludge in an inert and stable manner, enabling its recovery and the restoration of its active principles. With the result of the tests, the initial hypothesis was confirmed. It was found that the work met the main objective because the tests demonstrate that there was success in the recovery of sulfur and calcium present in the residual sludge. The characterization of the tailings in terms of pH, humidity and density showed results consistent with expectations, with high pH, higher density than water and a high percentage of moisture, results from analyzes of an inorganic by-product. The sludge extraction performed by leaching showed a yield of approximately 50% in the extraction of the sludge dry mass at 20 ºC. Two forms of precipitation were carried out for the recovery of sulfur and calcium and both were effective. Concomitant precipitation of sulfur and calcium and selective precipitation, which presented a lower yield, but with the advantage of obtaining independent compounds. When testing the proposed methodology, it is concluded that the recovery process is possible.pt-BREngenharia QuímicaRecuperaçãoLodoCálcioEnxofreEstudo da viabilidade de recuperação de enxofre e cálcio presentes no lodo residual oriundo do processo produtivo da calda sulfocálcicaTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
